OAK

The oak tree corresponds with the Ogham letter duir (doo-er) and is a symbol of strength and endurance, becoming a powerful spiritual symbol to the Celts. The oak month is the end of the reign of the Oak King - a good time cast off the old and welcome the new. This month you may contact the dryads of the oak to guide you through the doorway of change, embracing your inner strength. Surround a green candle with oak leaves and acorns or other oak tree representation. When you commune with the oak, write any messages you receive while in the other realm to further ponder. In this spell, you visualize a mighty oak tree with a magical door opening in the trunk. You will step inside and feel the power of the oak fill you. Begin by light the candle, then repeat three times:
"By mighty oak, this time of change,
My fears for strength I now exchange.
As now I step beyond the door,
I find the power within my core."
