Well for this big shopping day after Thanksgiving we have a waxing moon in the Fiery sign of Aries bringing with those energies intense activity, reaching out with emotional surges and impulsivness.. should a busy day for dedicated shoppers.  Since I come from the Buy Nothing Day side of the street I won't be participating in this Aries buying frenzy day.  But Aries also brings the energy of new beginnings.  It may seem like a little late in this lunar cycle to be contemplating 'new beginnings' but there could thoughts going towards a new kind of Full Moon ritual and making plans for that. Let's see the Full Moon this cycle will be on December 2nd, Woden's Day in the Mutable Air Sign of Gemini..
Or maybe I need to make new beginnings in practices that I do like my meditations.

Today - Freya's Day brings us Major magickal energies for rites/spells to develop our Talents.  Sometimes it is difficult to consider what your talents are. Frequently we find criticizing ourselves easier than acknowledging our talents.  If you ask a close friend you might be surprised at the list they have to give you of your 'gifts'.  I have been at times.

Instead of occupying your time with gift buying and the hustle and bustle of holiday frenzy - you may want to make a new beginning this time around with thinking ahead to the Winter Solstice - Yule - and what it means to those who connecting the Divine and the seasons... How will you observe Yule this year.  Make it more of a priority for yourself rather than the celebration of Christmas.  Remember, Yule, Winter Solstice is the turning of the Earth back towards the Sun.  Think of the miracle of that instead - this has been occurring for how many millions of years and yet most people take it for granted.
