Moon in Cancer - The Moon in Cancer deepens our feelings; our moods are stormy and vast, our hunger and desire to feed others sharpen. We protect our own, nest in our cave, need to know we're safe. Hunger grows, but for far more than food. This moon transit is a time to feed, nest, comfort, secure, and dive deep into our feelings. With Moon in Cancer our feelings take the lead. Cancer encourages the wisdom rising out of our oceanic unconscious through moods and feelings. Ground in the magick of our home as a temple. Ask what needs protecting and feeding. This transit concerns desires about a home, emotional security, entertaining friends, cooking, security issues, nostalgia and the desire to nurture. Women are emotionally psychically sensitive at this time, and due to these strong emotions it is a 'crybaby' moon.
Moon in Cancer brings heightened sensitivity. Cancer is the home of the moon, that sensitive planet of emotions, so feelings are easily hurt, especially by personal criticism. Handle with care. Nostalgia reigns supreme. As the moon travels toward Leo it is a time of great personal warmth and friendship. Be careful to avoid conflict as a grudge formed now will take a long time to heal. Moon in Cancer is the best time to work magick for home and domestic life. Healing rituals for ailments of the chest or stomach are also done during this period of time.
