New Moon - The New Moon (or Dark Moon) rises at sunrise and sets
at sunset. Astrologically the Sun and Moon are in conjunction. Because
the Sun's light overpowers the nearby Moon in the day, and the Moon
is on the other side of the Earth with the Sun at night, she is not visible
at all. The New Moon is like a SEED planted in the earth. We cannot
see her but she is ready to grow, full of potential and energy for her new
journey/cycle. This is the beginning of a new cycle. Keywords for the
New phase are: beginning, birth, emergence, projection and clarity.
It is the time in a lunar cycle that you are stimulated to take a new action.
During this phase the new cycle is being seeded in your vision, inner and
outer. Engage in physical activity. Spend time alone. VISUALIZE your
goals for the 29.6 day cycle ahead. Those who were born in a New
Moon phase are impulsive, passionate and intuitive. They are risk takers
and pioneers. The moon is 0-45 degrees directly ahead of the sun, and is
1 day old. Magick should be performed between dawn and sunset. A
new moon's power may be embryonic but you can be assured that the
power of any spell cast at this time goes on. Work with Sun goddesses
such as Sekhmet, Vesta and Heartha or the God Ra to increase your
power. Work for self, improvement, gardening, careers and/or romance.

Moon in Taurus - The Moon in Taurus asks us to discover what nurtures
us and how to grow deeper roots. We can almost feel the mud oozing
between our toes, awakening our senses and sensuality and growing our
stubbornness. This is the time cultivate our material resources, our homes and
our body. Plant anything you want to grow strong and fertile. The Moon in
Taurus grounds us; it slows us down and wakes our sensual nature and
stubbornness, helps us dig deeper roots. This is the time garden, plant, cultivate
seeds, relationships and ideas, make love, nurture, take a stand and embody.
Those who are born under a Taurus Moon sign  root deeply and change slowly;
they like to collect, to touch, to support, and see the sacred in the world of
matter. Being steady, they can loan their strength to others, but may need to
learn the beauty in change.
