Moon in Virgo - asks us to consider whats needs healing, what needs composting. It's time to study, learn, train, organize and turn our compassion into pragmatic action. Don't get stuck in your head. Women born in the Virgo sin came here to diagnose and heal her soul and the world's.  She needs to learn to celebrate the beauty in each of us. She offers practical compassion and ancient wisdom.  The Mutable Earth Sign of Virgo brings the desire to analyze.  During this transit, important issues are practicality, organization, cleaning up your house or diet (particularly after Leo's extravaganza), healing your body or offering healing to others and attending to loose ends. After Leo's party, it's time to clean up our act and turn our attentions to the matter of our health and hygiene.  Practical Virgo cleans the house, sets things in order, washes the dog and harvests the vegetables. This is a transit when we take time to attend to our responsibilities and clean up messes we've been leaving. Virgo brings painstaking attention to detail; housecleaning is a good way to work through a Virgo transit. During a Virgo Moon, women are mentally active but there is a tendency to excessive criticism, both of oneself  and others. Emotionally it's an inward time, when we can reflect on personal relationships.

Today is Tiu's Day - Mars Day - the day of Activity and Physicality, Passion and Desire.  There are minor magickal energies for rites regarding reversals and banishing enemies.  This is the 30th day of a lunar cycle - usually lunar cycles run a little over 29 days...  and so every so often a lunar cycle ends up being 30 days to make up the difference.  I strongly urge you to visit http://www.zodiacarts.com/Calendar.shtml
to learn more about Lunar Cycles, view a good lunar calendar and gain more insights on the different aspects of lunar lore.

Tomorrow is the New Moon - which will happen at 6:29AM EDST.  The moon has already moved in the Sign of Virgo so it is ready to rebirth itself into a new lunar cycle.  The New Moon is always in the same zodiac sign as the Sun is at that time.  Here is a nice essay on something to be considering at this
