Moon in Libra - The Moon in Libra opens our sociability, brings a friendly, egalitarian vibe and encourages us to connect. This is moon transit to seek justice, romance, meet, approach, create, beautify, find our core balance, and balance our needs with others. Moon in Libra highlights the magick of the dance of inter-relatedness - friendly, romantic, and searching for a way to connect. Libra asks us to treat those around us as equals and make sure our politics and art, our lovemaking, and our networks integrate. This transit concerns cooperation, harmony, focus on relationships, and fine artistic pursuits. All partnership activity will be heightened during this moon transit. But those not in a relationship may crave one or feel alone and lonely. Be aware of superficial bonding just to ease the pain of aloneness. Yet Moon in Libra is a nice time to throw a party. Everyone will be extremely social and try to please and flatter others.  Moon in Libra is the best time to work magick involving artistic work, justice, court cases, partnerships and unions, mental stimulation and karmic, spiritual or emotional balance. Healing rituals for ailments of the lower back or kidneys are also done during this period of time. Those born under a Libra moon sign are peacemakers, but need to remember to keep themselves in the equation. They see the beauty and seek fairness, and help us to understand one another.

Sun Day - is the Day of Intent, Creation and Renewal ....There are minor magickal energies for banishing disease and addictions.

Here is a link to an interesting article on the Internet that I came across this morning:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/gerit-quealy/forgotten-women-witches-h_b_859230.html#s275949&title=Three_Witches
It is titled Forgotten Women: Witches, Healers and Medicine Women..    I think you will find it interesting....

Understanding the Phases of the Moon:

The lunar cycle from New Moon to New Moon lasts 29.5 days but because the moon has an irregular orbit, the rising and setting of the moon will vary each day and the length of the moon month can likewise vary by up to a day. The cycle of the moon can be divided into n either three or eight phases. I honor the eight phase cycle.  You can follow the different moon phases in the weather section of a newspaper or diary (or on the Internet - I use the http://www.zodiacarts.com/Calendar.shtml) but what you see in the sky and what you feel are always your best guide to using moon energies. In order to follow the monthly journey of the moon, watch her in the sky, not just for one month but for several. Even in town you can use buildings as markers and will notice variations in position as the months pass, because of the moon's irregular path.
Catherine Yronwode has one of the best moon information section on the internet (www.luckymojo.com/moonphases.html)  and describes a simple method of telling the approximate moon phases if you are totally unfamiliar with the concept.
She says if the moon is shining in the sky in evening when the sun sets, it is waxing (increasing) and each night rises a little later and gets a little fatter. The Full Moon rises almost at the same time as the sun sets. If after sunset or you can see it faintly during the day the following day, rising again a little later and looking thinner each day, you know it is waning (decreasing).
The lunar calendar provided by Catherine Yronwode if for California time zone; the one at the Zodiac Lunar Calender is set up for Eastern Time Zone but there  is an area in the site to change it to most any time zone.
