Saturn's Day - the Day of Manifestation and Structure, Assessment and Responsibility.  There are Major magickal energies to aid spells/rites for Unwanted Chaos Protection and minor magickal energies for protection spells.  Colors for Saturn's Day are deep purple and black - so match your candle colors to these colors.  Perhaps you may wish to light a candle for when you do a meditation on where in your life you could use some protection now.  Essential oils to dress your candle in should cypress, myrrh, mimosa or patchouli.  Hecate is a deity for this day but then also Medusa is the ruling Goddess for this day in this lunar cycle.  Perhaps you may like to place a dark purple or even a black one beside your candle.  The pansy or viola is a common garden flower with a lot of magickal oomph behind it. It is available in a myriad of colors and is a happy unassuming protective flower.  The pansy has many folk names such as heatsease, Johnny-jump-up, and love in idleness. The darker the color of the pansy, the more protective energy it will produce.
Maybe your 'protection' spell or rite needs to be a binding one.  The Morning Glory flower and plant can be good correspondence for this type of magick.  Use a dark blue one if you have it.  Again use one of the suggested candle colors above and dress it in an appropriate essential oil.  If this is a troublesome person then your sympathy item could be a picture of the person or a sample of their handwriting. Wrap the morning glory vine around these items.. Take an old, clean glass jar and put this item of sympathy inside, and then stuff the jar full or morning leaves and vines. Bury or dispose of the jar off your property.
