First Quarter Moon - The First Quarter Moon (or waxing half moon) rises in the early afternoon and sets around midnight. Astrologically, the Moon is square to the Sun. She is visible from the time She rises until She sets.  The First Quarter Moon is the GROWTH phase. Roots go deeper, stems shot up and leaves form as She creates a new strong body. Those who are born during the First Quarter moon lives a full active life - old structures are cleared away, providing room for new development. Keywords for the First Quarterare: action, expression, growth, and breaking away. It is the time in a lunar cycle to take the initial action necessary to achieve your goal(s) you set at the New Moon by expressing your needs and desires. FEEL & MOVE. Make phone calls. Write letters. Dance. Act now.

This is Thor's Day - Jupiter's Day - the Day of Vision, Spiritual Insight and Expansion.  There are Major magickal energies today for Networking.

In one of my other blogs - Mists of Avalon - there was in essay for today these questions to ask yourself:
Answer these questions to get a sense of your own search for authority and authenticity:

* Whose approval am I seeking?
* Who encourages me?
*How do I gain vitality? What drains my vitality?
*Who/what do I need to control?
*To whom/what do I consistently relinquish power?
*What do I need for self-nurture?"
*Which old repeating patterns prevent me living in balance?"

In our study of the Craft and of seeking our Path in this life we are often wondering just whether or not we are doing the right things.  We all have doubts at times but I think by doing a checklist of questions like these we can regain a direction we want to proceed in.  These questions are being placed in my BOS to help me regain my balance every once in a while.
